James Robert Mills

James Robert "JR" Mills, 56 was born April 24, 1954 to the late Emma Lou Beeler and Gilbert Mills in Louisville, Kentucky. James was a fun and loving man who accepted Christ at an early age and always kept those around him laughing with a smile on their face. James went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at University Hospital.

Preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Jo Ann Mills-Allen.

James is survived by his son, Antonio Spaulding (Nicky); brothers, Abram Mills (Ivonna), John Mills (Mildred), Charles Mills (Marcy), Gilbert Mills (Brenda), Deno Mills, Richard Mills and Robert Withers; sisters, Emma Cooper (Johnnie), Betty Spencer (Edgar), Barbara Steadmon (Cordie), Christine Washington (Darnell) and Doris Henderson, Joyce Whitten; a brother-in-law, Theodore Allen; 2 Grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Ceremony will be 12:00 pm (noon) Monday, August 16, 2010 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive in Middletown with visitation from 10 am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the Family.
