James Joseph Robben

James Joseph "Buddy" Robben, age 81 of Louisville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023. He was a member of the first class to graduate from St. Francis DeSales High School in 1960 where he was a standout basketball player. His athletic pursuits continued as an amateur bodybuilder for most of his life. He was a banker with Citizens Fidelity Bank for many years before dedicating himself full-time to fitness and weight training as the manager of Walt's Olympic Gym and Bud's Gym and Fitness. He spent his retirement years working at the Crown Plaza Hotel. Buddy is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia; and daughter Kelly Jean.

Buddy is survived by his son, James Richard (Ronda); daughter, Diane Marie Segretto, who was his primary caregiver for many years; 6 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren; his beloved dog, Callie; and a host of relatives and friends.

A Gathering to Celebrate Buddy's Life will be 5 to 8pm on Wednesday, October 18, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243.
