James S. Rieser, MD, 93, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on January 13, 2018.
Jim was born on October 29, 1924 in New York City, New York to the late Sidney and Marie (Frankenstein) Rieser.
He served his country during WWII in Italy and Germany. Jim graduated from New York University in 1950 and from University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1959, and retired from his Family Practice in St. Matthews in 2002.
Jim is survived by his wife of 47 years, Glenna Schmitt Rieser; children Ray Rieser, Rick Rieser, MD, Michael Rieser, MD (Wendy) and daughter, Tiffany Rieser Heilman, MD (Steven). He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Joscelyn, Alexander, Kathryn, Sarah, Christopher, Bennett, Evangeline, Greyson and six great-grandchildren.
A private burial will be held at a later date.
