James Philip Meyer

James Philip Meyer, 80, of Louisville, KY died peacefully at home on November 26, 2015. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He was devoted to his family and will be greatly missed. He was born on June 8, 1935 in Louisville, KY, the son of Gladys and Clarence Meyer.Jimmy earned a business degree from the University of Louisville and retired from Ohio Casualty Insurance.

Mr. Meyer is survived by his wife, Carolyn (Dudgeon); daughters, Carol Hensley (and husband Mark) of Cincinnati OH, Tracy Wise (and husband Greg) of Louisville, KY, Dr. Gretchen Meyer (and husband Mark Turner) of Charleston, SC, and Allison Gaudreau (and husband Matt) of Boston, MA; grandchildren, Katie and Jay Hensley, Kaelyn Labarowski and Eliza Gaudreau; and sister, Joy Fron of Louisville.

Visitation will be 10am-12pm on Monday, November 30th, with service to follow at 12pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive, in Middletown. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
