James Padgett

James W. Padgett, 103, of Elizabeth, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 19, 2014. Many friends and relatives over the years reaped the benefits from his love of gardening.
James was born on April 3, 1911 in Nicholasville, Kentucky to the late James and Bessie (Parker) Padgett. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Donna M. Padgett; sons, James T. and Roger D. Padgett; his siblings; and his granddaughter, Kristin Padgett.
He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rose Frances (Marsh) Padgett; daughters, Helen L. Smith (James) and Sandra F. Dennison (Norman); sons, David W. (Theresa) and Daniel W. (Anne) Padgett; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
His Visitation is from 10 AM to 1 PM Monday, June 23, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will take place at 1 PM Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Pfrimmer's Chapel Cemetery in Corydon, Indiana.
