James W. Osborne, 63, of Jeffersonville passed away on Tuesday, September 20, 2011. Jim was a truck driver for 40 years. His first love was his family; his second love was riding his motorcycle. Jim loved the outdoors and served as a coach for Clark County Special Olympics. For the last four years, he was a bus monitor for Greater Clark County School System.
Jim was born on February 7, 1948 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Garland W. and Nellie Ann (Proctor) Osborne. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Loyce Chapman, and grandson, Bryan Jacob.
He is survived by his wife of over 36 years, Diane (Scarbrough) Osborne; children, Sonya Scarbrough of Jeffersonville, Jamie Osborne (Heather) of Louisville, Stewart Edwards, Willy Edwards (Lori), all of Jeffersonville, Rosie Harper of Florida, Jennifer Mikes' of Louisville, and Jonathan Osborne (Sabrina) of New Albany; sister, Joyce Taylor (Kibby) of Florida; 15 grandchildren, two great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
His memorial visitation will be from 11 AM to 1 PM on Saturday, September 24, 2011, and his Celebration of Life will be at 1 PM at Sunnyside Assembly of God Church (3200 Holman Lane, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
