Murphy, James Robert, 68, husband of Connie 'Susie' Murphy, passed away Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
Born November 12, 1954, he was a son of the late George and Delores Settles Murphy.
He was a retired delivery driver from Prairie Farms after 25 years of service, and also worked for Bunny Bread.
Other than his wife Susie, he leaves behind to cherish his memory his children, Christine A.M. Hardin (David) and Robin Lynn Simpson (Johnny); his sisters, Sue Ann Haggerman and Linda Crum; his grandchildren, J.D. Davis, Dylan Murphy, Christopher Williams, Shane Satori, Dustin Satori, Jesse Satori, Heather Hardin and Jessica Hardin; his great grandchildren, Madison Davis, Alley Davis, James Davis, Wesley Davis, Jamie Barkey, Scarlett Barkey, Alaysia Hardin, Arianna Hardin, Aurelia Mahoney, Kirestin Brown, Jazlyn Simpson and Joseph Simpson; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A celebration of James' life will be 4:00 PM Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). Visitation will be 1:00 PM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
