James "Jamie" Michael Shuffitt, 28, of Louisville, KY passed away on December 26, 2013.
Jamie was born on November 27, 1985, in Louisville to Wayne and Elizabeth "Betsy" (Dodson) Shuffitt. His father preceded him in death. Jamie was also preceded in death by his grandparents; James and Mary Dodson, and Wiley and Ethelyne Shuffitt; and godmother, Rose Poll.
Jamie is survived by his mother, Betsy; sister, Lindsey Shuffitt Duncan (Tommy); two beautiful nieces who adored him, Olivia and McKenna; many loving family members; and a host of longtime friends to which he was very loyal.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy). Funeral Ceremony will be held Monday at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with visitation continuing from 10:00 until time of service. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park.
