On Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, God's will was done as Michael Mitchell Scott reached out and touched the face of God and found peace at last after extended illness.
The son of Leila Mitchell and the late James Williams Mitchell was born on Nov. 6, 1957 in Louisville, Kentucky and attended Central High School. He accepted Christ at an early age.
He leaves to mourn his passing; Mother, Leila Mitchell; one brother, Paul Jones; two sons, Antawan Fields and James Michael Spalding; two daughters, Nicole Spaulding and Quila Butler; nineteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, a loving companion, Judy Robinson, relative and friends.
Visitation will be from 5pm to 8pm Friday, January 11, 2013 at 12th Street Primitive Baptist Church, 2101 West Main Street, Louisville, KY 40212. Funeral service will be 10am Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Church. With burial to follow in Green Meadows Cemetery.
