James Anthony Mcpheeters

James Anthony McPheeters, 75, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He worked as an electrician for CSX Railroad for 42 years until his retirement. He was a faithful member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Sellersburg. Jim loved drag-racing and had a passion for woodworking.

He was born on August 5, 1948 in New Albany, Indiana to the late James A. McPheeters and Celestine Myers McPheeters. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Dwight McPheeters.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of nearly 49 years, Susan McPheeters; son, Eric (Coran) McPheeters; sister, Cynthia McPheeters; brother, Allen (Connie) McPheeters; and his nieces & nephews.

A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 9, 2024 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses (8409 County Line Rd, Sellersburg, IN 47172). Cremation was chosen following Jim's wishes and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) was entrusted with his care.
