James William Maxson

James William Maxson, 77, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, June 2, 2022. James was a car enthusiast, and built custom cars. He had several show trophies for his work, and cars were his passion. James was a avid Elvis fan, and loved playing his music. He was a caring and humble man, and will be missed by all who knew him.

He was born on October 27, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Susan (Braun) Maxson. He is preceded in death by his Spouse, Sibyl Slayton,, Daughter, Tammy Hong, and Parents.

James is survived by his Son, James K. Maxson, Grandchildren, James Daniel (Jordan Wolf) Maxson, LaQuana Aunae Hong, Jasmine Rose Hong, and Alexandria (Justin) Kevonda Hensley. James also leaves behind to cherish his memory 17 Great Grandchildren, and a host of Friends and Extended Family.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel with burial to follow in Bethany Memorial Cemetery.
