James M. Deddo, 71, a true family man, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2013. He was a retired Floyd County Sherriff.
Jim was born on August 2, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Michael and Marita (O'Malley) Deddo. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Jennifer S. (Moore) Deddo; children, Jim Deddo (Tina), Kirk Deddo (Ruth), Edward Deddo (Tracey), Darlene Deddo, Nina Nevin (Sean), Troy Deddo (Jaime), Rebecca Martin (Joe); 4 brothers, 1 sister; 20 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 18, 2013 from 12 to 6 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Monday after 11 AM. His Funeral Service will be at 1 PM on Monday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Wolfe Cemetery in Georgetown.
