James M. Durbin, Sr.

James M. Durbin , Sr., 81, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on November 4, 2014. He retired from Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was an avid horse racing enthusiast, loved Kentucky Wildcats basketball, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and traveling.

Jim was born on February 27, 1933, to the late Harry and Alma Durbin.

Jim is survived by his wife, Shelia Durbin; children, Donna, James, Jr. (Little Jim), Ann, Roxanne, Scott and Ray; stepchildren, Carol and Timmy; 16 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; siblings, Harry William "Billy", Dolly, Morris Edward "Footsie", Elizabeth, Paul Richard "Red", Martha and Joey Vincent.

Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm Friday, November 7, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville). Jim's Memorial Service will be held Friday at 3:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
