James Christ Karageorge, Sr., 72, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. James served our country in the U.S. Army, unit 199th Light Infantry Brigade during the Vietnam War (April 1968-April 1969). He retired from the Luther Luckett Correctional Complex. James was a very accomplished man and a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed golfing, cutting grass and the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He was known for many things, but most of all he will be remembered for his love and passion for his wife and family.
James was born on April 14, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Christ and Mary (Augnustipolis) Karageorge.
James is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bonnie Sue Karageorge, Son, James Christ Karageorge, II, Son, Jason E. (Melissa) Karageorge, Adopted Son, Joey Proctor, Grandson, Austin Hill, Grandson, Alex Karageorge Sprinkle, Granddaughter, Alexis Karageorge, Granddaughter, Kelsea Pence, Granddaughter, Haylie Pence, Great Grandson, Taylor Sprinkle, Sister, Noreen (Dennis) Makaryk, Cousin, Maria Kostas, Cousin, Karen Gaulin. Nieces and nephews, DJ, Jeffrey and Shannon Larison, Rachel, Jennifer and Jason Makaryk.
