James Mccreary Jones

Jones, James M. "Terry", 74, of Shepherdsville, KY, passed away Monday, August 14, 2023.

Born August 28, 1948, he was a son of the late T.J. Gilbert and Margaret Ellen Summitt Gilbert.

He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, as well as the United States Army, and was an aircraft mechanic.

In addition to his parents and his birth father, James. B.M. Jones, he is preceded in death by his sisters, Sharion and Barbara; and his brothers, Eric and Keith; and his sister-in-law, Perla.

Terry leaves behind to cherish his memory three children, Jessica "Jessy" Jones (David Wright), Joni Jones, and Jimmy Jones (Jennifer Bledsoe); his grandchildren, Krillin, Matthew, Nevaeh, Logan, Abby, Donny, Hunter, Roxie, and Lilly; his brothers, Fred and Kenny; his sister, Evie (Mike); and a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243). Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Monday, August 21, 2023 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Saint Jude's Childrens Research Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project in Terry's memory.
