James "Jim" Mattingly (Jungle Jim) (The Bugman), 76, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on June 1, 2021 at Masonic Homes of Louisville.
Jim was born on April 9, 1945, Louisville to the late Elmer and Rose Mattingly. He retired from Orkin Pest Control in 2007. Jim was an avid golfer, race track enthusiast, and card player. He was also a proud member of the Torro Club. Jim was the kindest, generous, most gentle loving friend to all, who never met a stranger.
James is survived by his wife of 53 years, Debbie Mattingly; sisters, Diane M. Rayburn, Debbie Lea, Rose Marie Kelm (Steve), Lynn Ott (Ed), Dottie Hurlburt (Roger); brother, Charles Mattingly; and a host of nieces and nephews, as well as many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A celebration of Jim's life will be announced at a later date.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Masonic Home of Louisville, and the entire staff of the Sam Swope Care Center.
