James J. "Jim" Halas, 92, of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2022.
He was born on January 9, 1930, in Norwalk, Connecticut, to James and Celeste (Stanford) Halas. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margaret Jean (Daw) Halas; sister, Janet Gibson; sister, Dorothy Maney; and sister, Irene Ziza.
Jim is survived by son, James R. (Connie) Halas; daughter, Victoria L. Dickinson; 4 grandchildren, Julee Halas, Jaime (Mark) Murray, Jennifer (Al) Stephens, and Kelsey Dickinson; 5 great-grandchildren, Sophia Stephens, Marshall Stephens, Margaret Murray, Jack Murray, and Simon Legg; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
A Memorial Service will take place on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary Navilleton Catholic Church, 7500 Navilleton Road, Floyds Knobs, IN 47119.
