James "JB" Brasfield

James "JB" Brasfield, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, March 17, 2025. 

He was born on March 13, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to Thomas and Frances (Cummings) Brasfield. He is preceded in death by his Father, Thomas Leonard Brasfield and Mother, Frances Beatrice Brasfield; Great-Granddaughter, Lily Brasfield.

James is survived by his loving family, Wife, Debby Brasfield; Sons, Joseph (Shannon) Brasfield and Daniel Brasfield; Grandchildren, Tyler (Mandy) Brasfield, Austin (Jillian) Brasfield, and Haley Brasfield; Great-Grandchildren, Braxton, Alex, Ryan, and Harrison; Siblings, Debbie (Charles) Biggers, and Jesse (Sandy) Brasfield, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends to cherish his memory forever.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 6:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel. The burial at Resthaven Memorial Park in Louisville will take place the following day Friday March 28, 2025 at 10:00 am..
