James R. Harper, 81, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.
He was born on June 26, 1939 in Louisville to the late William and Hallie Harper.
James is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Myrna Harper; daughter, Robin Vineyard (Keith); son, Chris Harper; grandchildren, Rene Hurt (Ryan), Caitlynn Harper, Madisynn Harper; brothers, Jack, David, and Donald Harper.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021 and 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm Friday, June 4, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Funeral Service will be at 1:30 pm on Friday, at the funeral home with burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens in Mt. Washington.
The family requests that contributions in James 's memory be made to the Home of the Innocents.
