James William Goodman, II "Scooter", 57, of Charlestown, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018. Scooter enjoyed working with his hands and was a skilled upholsterer for many years. He loved to fix and repair anything for his family and friends. Above all, his true love was his family.

Scooter was born on March 30, 1960 in Columbus, Georgia to the late James W. Goodman, I and Patricia A. (Coombs) Renfrow.

He is survived by his wife, Patana (Prewitt) Case; children, James W. Goodman, III "Jamie" (Casey Combs) and Amanda Goodman; step-children, Geneva Case, Mary Clary (Dale), Edwin Case (Tammy), Jamie Robinson (John), and Shanna Guffey (John); sister, Michelle Durbin (Greg); 32 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 3 PM to 6 PM Friday, February 9, 2018, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). A Memorial Service will take place at 6 PM Friday at the funeral home with visitation continuing until 8 PM. Cremation will follow according to Scooter's wishes.
