James Herman Gibson

James Herman Gibson, 46, passed away on September 3, 2023. He was an over the road truck driver for over 22 years. James family meant the world to him and he loved the time he was able to spend with his grandson, James. He was an avid UK fan and bourbon connoisseur. James had a loving heart and was always helping others in any way he could. He was always the life of the party and enjoyed spending with his friends. James will be truly missed, but will forever live in our hearts.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Leeds.

James leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 26 years, Misty Gibson; children, Ciara Keeton and James C. Gibson; grandson, James Lee Gibson; father, James (Janet) Gibson; step-brother, David Gramlin; step-father, Jay Leeds; step-sister, Jennifer Carr; mother-in-law, Lisa Ort; brother-in-law, Michael Lewis and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY, from 1pm-4pm with a celebration of James's life beginning at 4pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with James's funeral expenses.
