James "Jimmy" "Jim" Garner, 66, of Louisville, KY, passed away peacefully in his childhood home on Wednesday July 10, 2024. He was born on August 10, 1957. Jim was a graduate of Doss High School and after high school he joined the Army. He had a brief career at Ford then started his business Cycle World. Later in life he worked in the cable business where he helped many people with their cable. Jim never met a stranger; he was a bonus dad and papaw to many. He loved spending time at Rough River Lake, going on vacations with his family, watching westerns or the history channel and aggravating the people he loved. He will deeply be missed, but Jim would want us all to not be sad. Instead he would want us to share the memories we have of him.
Jim proceeded to the gates of Heaven to be with his mother, Dorothy Garner; father, James Garner; brother, Ronnie Garner and many friends and family who went before him.
Jim is survived by his son, Ryan (Danira) Garner; daughters, Amber (Rick) Garner O'Neil and April (Julio) Garner; grandchildren, Hailey, Anthony, Laylah, Savannah, Darryl, Jeremiah, Christian and Liam; nephew, Chris (Leann) Garner; his four legged best friend, Sadie Lynn and numerous extended family and friends
