James E. Hazelwood, 56, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2014. He was a member of Evangel North Church in Clarksville. Jim enjoyed going camping and loved to fish, as well as ride horses.
He was born on March 14, 1958 in Louisville, Kentucky. He is survived by his mother, Bonnie (Hooper) Strange; children, Jimmy Hazelwood, Ashley Knight, Brittany Hazelwood; siblings, Alvinia Reisert (Eddie), Owen Wilson, Elva Lewis (Steve); 6 grandchildren and 8 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 3 to 8 PM on Thursday, September 11, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN) and on Friday after 11 AM at Evangel North Church (1732 Thames Drive, Clarksville, IN 47129). His Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM Friday at the church with cremation to follow according to Jim's wishes.
Contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
