James Douglas "Doug" Elsea, 50, of New Albany passed away on Saturday, February 15, 2014. Doug was a member of the American Bible Academy. A skilled handyman and carpenter, Doug enjoyed fishing; bicycling and had a great sense of humor.
Doug was born on July 21, 1963 in New Albany to Faye (Young) Justice and the late James Elsea.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his sisters, Teresa Mann (Mark), Diane Kauchek (Lee), and Juanita Lyninger; stepbrothers, Vernon Lee Justice and Terry Justice; stepsister, Kristy Justice; and stepfather, Vernon Justice.
Visitation will be 5 PM to 8 PM on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). His Funeral Service will be at 11 AM Thursday with burial to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery in Sellersburg, Indiana.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Floyd County Humane Society (P.O. Box 1134 New Albany, IN 47150).
