James Marion Edlin Jr., 69, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. James loved going to the beach, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time with his family, friends, and pets.
He was born on August 8, 1954 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Shirley (Kiper) Edlin. He is preceded in death by his Father, James Marion Edlin, Sr., Mother, Shirley McGuire, Wife, Karin M. Edlin, Siblings, Janice G. Cassidy, Robert A. Edlin, and Richard Ray Edlin.
James is survived by his loving family, Daughters, Jennifer M. (Chasitiy Avis) Edlin and Rebecca L. (James Duncan) Moore; Grandchildren, Deja B. Smallwood, Miracle M. Moore, Angel A. Moore, Manuel R. Moore-Alonzo, and Heaven H. Moore-Alonzo; Sister-In-Law, Laverna Edlin; Nephew, Charlie Edlin.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). His Celebration of Life Service will be at 5:30 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
The family requests that contributions in James's memory be made to Kentucky Humane Society.
