James Robert Curtis

James Robert "Jim" Curtis, 69, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2023. Jim had a passion for home projects, animals, music, classic cars, and playing poker. He had a life of longtime friends. Everybody loves Jim Curtis.

He was born on October 13, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, to Gerald and Patricia Curtis, who proceeded him in death.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Anita; his sister, Peggy (Kevin) Wilson; his children, Kelly, Lori, and Cayla; his beloved grandchildren, Jacob, Jasmin, Rian, Mia, Finley, and Chaselynn; his great-grandchild, Karson; and many loving family members.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, if you would like to, please continue Jim and Anita's charitable donations to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation honoring Jim's father, Gerald (Merchant Marines), Anita's father, Sherman Basham (US Air Force), and any family members past and currently serving.

Cremation was chosen following Jim's wishes. His Memorial Gathering will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150). Jim will be laid to rest in Chicago, Illinois.
