James Raleigh Cummins, Sr.

James Raleigh "Jim" Cummins, Sr., 73, loving husband, and devoted father and grandpa, of Otisco, Indiana, passed away on Monday, February 13, 2023. He had a successful career as a mechanic and farmer. Jimbo had a great sense of humor and was an avid outdoorsman that liked hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family and friends.

He was born on February 22, 1949, in New Albany, Indiana, to Stillman and Lola (Kaiser) Cummins. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his sister, Jane.

Jim is survived by his wife, Rosanne (Coder) Cummins; son, Jimmy Cummins; sister, Jean Robinson (Allen); granddaughters, Izabella and Arabella; nieces, Laura, Teresa, and Linda; and many good friends.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2023, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Saturday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
