James Clay Allison

May 25, 1921 — September 3, 2014

James C. "Bud" Allison, age 93 of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, September 03, 2014 where he joined his wife of 59&1/2 years, Elsie. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Bud was a Marine in WWII, where he earned the honor of the Purple Heart. He also received a Commendation from the Secretary of the Navy for his service to his country. He was a successful independent business owner. He was an avid golf player and enjoyed riding and raising horses. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Vena Allison; and his brothers, Mickey, Dennis, Ralph, Glenn and Arnold.

Bud is survived by his loving children, Jim (Barbara), J. Wayne (Jenny) and Scott Allison (Jill); grandchildren, Keith Allison (Ellie), Carrie Allison, Clay Allison (Marky), Kristen Hosey (Ryan) and Katie Winter (Brad); great-grandson, Sawyer Lona; sisters, LaVerne, Katherine and Virginia.

Funeral ceremony will be 3pm Saturday, September 6, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there from 1pm Saturday until time of service. Burial will be private. To leave a special message for the family, use the "Share Memories" button above.
