James "Jim" Daniel Carpenter Jr., 74, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2022.
He was born on December 20, 1947 in Louisville, Kentucky to James and Leona Roberts Carpenter. Jim was a proud veteran of the United States Navy. He was a barber for many years. Jim liked to hunt and fish, and loved his guns. He was loving father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Daniel Carpenter, Sr., mother, Leona Carpenter, brother, Michael B. Carpenter; grandchildren, Elizabeth Carpenter and Vincent Wells.
James is survived by daughter, Amy Houchens (Stanley), 4 siblings, Richard Carpenter (Nickie), John Carpenter (Robin), Pat Carpenter, Pamela Small (Steve), 1 grandchild, Kristina Carpenter, and 5 great grandchildren, Madeleine and Liam Melton, Rory and Riley Peoples, and Jonathan Caldwell.
Services will be private.
