James A. Bybee, 92, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, April 12, 2021.
He was born on December 29, 1928 in Horse Cave, Kentucky to late Roscoe and Lucille (Hodge) Bybee. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 50 plus years, Jean Bybee.
James proudly served in United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired after over 30 years of service from the CSX/L&N Railroad. He was a former deacon at the Kenwood Church of Christ and was a founding member of the Crestwood Church of Christ.
James is survived by his children, David Bybee, Karen Bybee, brothers, Robert Bybee (Peggy), William Bybee (Sue), nieces Melinda Morris (Mike), Temisha Denison (Bryan), Beverly Smith (Jim), nephews Jeff Edwards (Laurie), Bruce Edwards (Wendy), Ken Bybee (Monica), Rob Bybee (Angie) as well as a host of great nieces and nephews and their children. He is also survived by his church family at Crestwood Church of Christ.
Visitation will be from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 am on Monday, April 19, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (235 Juneau Drive Louisville, KY 40243) with entombment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens East.
