James K. Burnett, 68, of Shepherdsville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.
He was born on November 14, 1953 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Nelson and Barbara (Decker) Burnett. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his two sisters, Paula and Melody.
James retired from Alcan Aluminum, after retirement he spent time woodworking and doing carpentry. During his lifetime he enjoyed spending time with his family. He will always be remembered for his caring and loving personality. James had a very kind and nurturing demeanor toward people and animals.
James is survived by his loving son, Chris Burnett, siblings, Sandy, Debbie, Kevin, and Monica, along with numerous other family and friends that will miss him dearly.
Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). A celebration of his life will be at 5:00 pm on Sunday, at the funeral home.
