James Richard Boyd, 71, formerly of Greenville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016, peacefully in the comfort of his home. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Hazel (Blanton) Boyd, and brothers, Randall and Gary Boyd. He is survived by his daughter, Deborah Boyd-Holder; brother, Dale Boyd; and grandchildren, Emilee, Sarah, and Kevin Holder.
A Memorial Gathering will be held from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Meadows of Greentree Clubhouse (1418 Marlow Drive, Clarksville, IN 47129). Richard will be buried in a private ceremony in his family cemetery in Eastern Kentucky. Memorial contributions may be sent to Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) who has been entrusted with his arrangements.
