James Roger Bowman, age 69 of Louisville, KY passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023.
James Roger Bowman, 69, of Louisville, passed away October 12, 2023. He was an Army Veteran that enjoyed motorcycles, football, and listening to classic rock while appreciating the simple joys of life. He was born on April 9, 1954, to parents James Sheridan Bowman and Marie (Steyer) Bowman in Schwaebisch Gmuend, Germany. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Colette (Donnie) Thomas.
James is survived by his brothers, Jack Bowman and Charles (Teresa) Bowman; his two children, Charles (Robin) Bowman and Jennifer (Mina) Khalil; his grandchildren, Xavier Bowman, Jaden Bowman, and Audrey Khalil; his niece Christine Bowman; and several cousins.
A gathering to celebrate James' life will be from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 235 Juneau Drive, Louisville, Kentucky 40243. Army Honors will take place at 5:30pm.
