Jacquelyn Frances Copeland

Jacquelyn Frances Copeland, 71, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Jacquelyn was a loving wife, mom, gigi, and friend to all. Everyone she met, knew her as a friend. She is a person that once you were in her presence you never wanted to leave. She could comfort you, console you, correct you, and ultimately care for you. She had a bigger than life personality and was willing to share kindness and sincerity with anyone she came in contact with. We will miss her and celebrate every moment we were given.

She was born on February 17, 1950 in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Mamie (Beard) Burks. She is preceded in death by her father, William Winthrop Burks and mother, Mamie Frances Burks.

Jacquelyn is survived by her loving Husband of 45 years, Harvey Jerome Copeland; son's, Michael Aaron (Inelda) Hayes, Sr. and Troy Jerome (Kimberly) Copeland; grandchildren, Michael (Tia) Hayes, Jr., Daminif Woodson, Micha'l Hayes, Adrian Vertrees, Dayanis Valdivieso, Arianna Camacho, Dariani Chavez, Cameron Troy Copeland, Amaya Simone Copeland, Na'jaie Lenique Copeland, Reggian Troy Copeland, Sa'lea Navonne Copeland, Antonio Duncan, and Ebony (Greg) Lowman; great-grandchildren, Dominif , Jr., Mia, Aalia, Elijiah Adonis, Jaxon, Larry, Trey, Amiya , Alexia, and KylennSickles; mother-in-law, Lola Copeland; siblings, William W. Burks, Jr. and Judith Burks; brother-in-laws, Lemar (Millie) Copeland, John Copeland, Jeffrey Copeland, and Joseph Copeland; sister-in-laws, Barbara (Tom) Bonner, and Phyllis Staples; nieces and nephews, Jacquelyn Frances (John) Locke, Jenna Burks, Elijiah Burks, Gabriel Burks, Jasmine Locke, Janay Locke; dear friends, Vivian Baskerville, Jackie (George) Cooper, Andgie (Austin) Fites, Teresa (Bill) Pittman, Pam Dickerson, Rachelle Bates, Teri (Charles) Scott, and many more friends; as well as a host of beloved family and friends to cherish her fun loving memory forever.

Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel, (10304 Dixie Hwy). Her Celebration of Life Service will be at 4:00 pm on Thursday, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Southwest Louisville Chapel.
