Jacqueline A. Hogan, passed away on September 1, 2024, at the age of 73. Born on October 31, 1950, in Galena, Indiana, Jacqueline illuminated the lives of everyone she encountered, leaving behind a legacy of kindness and compassion.
Jackie had a commitment to her community. She thought of others before herself, often extending her generosity through teaching individuals in her community how to read and ensuring that they had enough resources to celebrate Christmas joyfully. These small yet significant acts of kindness were reflective of her deeply caring nature.
Her professional life was equally impressive; she served as a hospice nurse for over 20 years, exemplifying devotion and expertise in her field. She was not just a caregiver; she was a beacon of hope and comfort for those navigating life’s most challenging moments. Her contributions as a nurse made her a standout figure, earning her recognition as one of the top professionals in her field.
Jackie's personal interests embraced the art of nurturing life; she was a master gardener. Her hands brought forth beauty and sustenance from the earth, reflecting her loving spirit and the joy she found in cultivating life.
She leaves behind her loving daughters, Heather Trimarke, Sarosha Hogan, and Jessica Hogan, who carry forward her legacy of compassion and strength. Jackie is also survived by five sisters.
Jackie’s heartache was profound with the loss of her beloved husband, Raymond Hogan, their son, Matthew Blaine Hogan, and her faithful canine companion, Merlin. She is also reunited with her parents, Frank Marcel Haendiges and Mary Elizabeth Lee Haendiges, and her two brothers, who have predeceased her. Their absence has left a void in her life, yet the love they shared continues to resonate in the stories and memories cherished by her family.
As we remember Jacqueline A. Hogan, let us celebrate a life filled with love, nurturance, and an endless commitment to others. Her spirit will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, and community, guiding them to lead lives that reflect the kindness she so beautifully embodied.
She will be laid to rest privately at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany, Indiana.
