Jacob Robert Plamp, 23, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, October 16, 2011 at U of L Hospital.
He was born July 9, 1988 and was a student at JCTC, where he was to complete his associate's degree in December 2011. He was an avid sports enthusiast and could be found on the basketball or volleyball court whenever possible. Even in his death, he gave others the gift of life through organ donation.
Jacob is preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys H. Plamp and uncle, Charles W. McCarty III.
He is survived by his parents, Cheri Eskridge (Chip) and Kenny Plamp Jr. (Kathy); sister, Chelsea Plamp; brother, Will Eskridge; stepsisters, Sarah Cotton and Alex Eskridge; stepbrothers, Andrew Eskridge and Ben Cotton; grandparents, Barbara Alexander, Kenny Plamp Sr. and Charles and Barbara McCarty Jr.; great-grandmother, Ilene McCarty; "auntie," Adrien McCarty; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial gathering will be noon on Saturday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Dr., with visitation Friday from 1-8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon.
