Jackson Delmar Carter, affectionately known as "Jacksonman," was born on November 4, 2010, in Louisville, Kentucky, and left this world far too soon on December 9, 2024, in the same beloved city. Jackson was a bright light in the lives of all who knew him, his warmth, kindness and loving spirit will be missed.
As a student at Westport Middle, Jackson enjoyed playing football and proudly participated in the sport, showcasing his dedication and teamwork. He discovered his love for the game at 2 years old. His love for the outdoors was evident; whether he was throwing a football in the front yard or enjoying a peaceful day fishing, Jackson thrived in nature's embrace. He was known for his infectious smile, a testament to his optimistic nature, and his genuine care for others, always prioritizing the safety and happiness of those around him.
Jackson held a special place in his heart for his family. He was particularly proud of being an uncle to baby Anthony, a role he embraced with joy and enthusiasm. He cherished the time spent with his parents, Fionn Delmar Carter and Michelle Carter, and his siblings, Anthony, Makayla, and Savannah, creating memories that would last a lifetime. Jackson is also survived by his beloved grandparents, Doris Ann Flaherty, Jerome Conklin, and Charlotte Carter, along with his great grandparents, Ronnie and Doris Bennett. He was a loving nephew to a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom have shown unwavering support during this difficult time. We Are Family Strong!
Jackson was preceded in death by his grandfather, Frederick Carter, Sr.; grandfather, Danny Flaherty; great grandparents, Virginia Conklin and Jerome G. Conklin; Davis Calvin and Elizabeth Calvin; and uncle, Matthew Hunter Conklin. Though he was taken from us too soon, Jackson’s spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
