Jack L. Dalton, 69, of New Albany, Indiana passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at his home. Jack graduated from New Albany High School in 1959 and worked for McLean Trucking Company for over 25 years. He enjoyed fishing and was a faithful attendant of the "Old Fogies" group. He was a life-long member of Teamsters 89 Union and Harvest Time Ministries in Floyds Knobs, Indiana.
Jack was born on August 18, 1941 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Arnold T. and Opal M. (Lee) Dalton.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sharon K. (Barker) Dalton; daughters, Barbara A. Hammett and her husband, James, of New Albany, Kelli J. Fuller and her husband, Eddie, of New Albany; his only granddaughter, Brandi (Dalton) Milan and her husband, Billy, grandsons, James, Joseph, and Jesse Hammett, Cody and Travis Dalton; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Trenton, and Dayton Milan.
Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM on Monday, February 14 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany, IN 47150) and after 11 AM on Tuesday. His Funeral Service will be at 1:00 PM on Tuesday in the Paul F. Kraft, Sr. Memorial Chapel at the funeral home with burial to follow at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany.
