Jack Bixler Sr.

Jack Bixler, Sr., 90, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed peacefully at his home on Tuesday, July 18, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was an avid IU basketball and Cubs baseball fan. He enjoyed reading about World War II.
He was born on November 13, 1932, in Mitchell, Indiana, to Lloyd and Gladys (Poston) Bixler. He is preceded in death by his wife, Deirdre Grace Bixler; and his parents.
Jack is survived by his loving daughters, Susan (Marc) Botts, Renee (Tim) Copple, Christina Jablonski, and Maria (Michael) Nickell; son, Jack (Tracey) Bixler, Jr; twelve grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Services will be held privately, and Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) was entrusted with his care. Jack will be laid to rest at Abundant Life Memorial Gardens in New Albany.
The family requests that contributions in Jack's memory be made to the American Cancer Association.
