Isabelle Carby Simms, 94, of Louisville, KY passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born June 7, 1926 in Hart County, KY to the late Charles and Flossie Fields. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Haskell Carby and her second husband, Herbert Simms, great grandchild, Willis "Storm" Evans, great-great grandchild, Damien Kidd, 3 brothers, and 1 sister.
She was a homemaker and retired from Sts. Mary and Elizabeth Hospital after 24 years.
She is survived by 6 children, Bonnie Beauchamp, Jackie Wright (Gary), Trudy Kamber (Louie), Verna Sloan (Terry), Steve Carby, Sharon Gerding (John). 9 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. Brothers, Melvin Fields, Donnie Fields, C.R. Fields, Sisters, Mona Priddy and Reva Johnson.
Visitation following Covid guidelines will be on Thursday, January 28 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Chapel (10304 Dixie Hwy) from 9:30 am to 11:30 am. A private funeral service will follow and burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West.
