Irma Jean Rhodes Wilson

Irma Jean Rhodes Wilson, 68, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Jewish Hospital. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on October 15, 1948 to the late Willis and Ida Rhodes. She loved going to bingo, walking, playing her daily numbers and going to the boat.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Leonard Rhodes, Phyllis Boyd, Robert Rhodes, AnnaBelle Rhodes and Willetta Turner.

Irma is survived by her beloved children, Willis A. Wilson, Antonio L. Wilson, Frank E. Wilson, Jr. and Kimberly I. Wilson; a brother, Benjamin (Joyce) Rhodes, Sr.; grandchildren, Antoinette Giles, Desiree Wilson and LaTasha Latimer; four great-granddaughters, Aniyah Bigham, Makhia Bigham, Mariah Clayton and Ra'Mya Clayton; and a host of other family members and friends.

A funeral service to celebrate her life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Southwest Louisville Chapel, 10304 Dixie Highway with burial to follow in Green Meadows Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 24, 2017 at the funeral home.
