Ira Boyd Creasman, 62, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, May 20, 2023.
He was born on November 4, 1960 in Birmingham, Alabama to Beecher and Doris (Cartee) Creasman. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert E. and Mollie Cartee and James H. and Grace Creasman.
Ira had a charismatic soul. He was a 1984 graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama. He graduated in flight technology in 1986 Wallace State in Hanceville, Alabama. Ira enjoyed computers, technology, the outdoors, bass fishing, kayaking, flowers, music, decorating and being with his family. Ira was instrumental in introducing the live streaming ministry at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. He was also a licensed minister in state of Alabama and was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
Ira is survived by his loving husband of 2 1/2 years, Mitchell Dale Wilson, II, mother, Doris Ann Creasman, father, Beecher Boyd Creasman, sister, Missy Bradford (Trent), brother, Wayne Creasman (Andi), niece, Madison Creasman (Zach) and nephews, Destin Creasman, Korey Burley, Kyle Burley (Whitley), Kolton Bradford and Ben Bradford (Emily). He is also survived by great-nieces, Lailynn Burley, Winnie Bradford and great-nephews, Archer Bradford and Paxton Burley.
A celebration of life for Ira will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (1206 Maple Lane, Louisville, KY 40223).
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home & Jefferson Memorial Gardens (2701 John Hawkins Parkway, Hoover, Alabama 35244).
Ira's favorite verse was Lamentations 3:22-23 The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
