Ingrid Linnea Aramant passed away on Saturday, January 21 in Louisville, with her son by her side. Ingrid was born in 1947 in Tomelilla, Sweden. She was 75 at the time of her passing.
Ingrid grew up in southern Sweden and studied to be a pharmacist. After meeting her future husband Robert, his research took them across the Atlantic to several cities across North America. For the last 30 years she lived on her beloved Bluebird Hill Farm near Crestwood, but part of her heart was always with their little house in Hagestad near the coast in southern Sweden. Ingrid had a lifelong love of gardening and an incredible knowledge of plants. She was beloved for her quiet, selfless kindness and her passing will be marked by her dear friends across two continents. Her husband Robert passed in May of last year. 2023 would have marked 40 years of marriage.
Ingrid is survived by her son David, brother Gert-Ove, sister Eva, and six nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will take place in the spring when the world is greener and warmer. Details are not yet available.
Ingrid was a lover of both nature and animals. Donations in her name would be appropriate at Yew Dell Gardens, the ASPCA, or the World Wildlife Fund.
