Imogene (Doss) Mckinstry

Imogene "Bean" (Doss) McKinstry, 102, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022. Imogene had a passion for helping others and worked as a nurse's aide in oncology for over 32 years at Baptist East Hospital and Mt. Holly Nursing Home. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, painting, and to travel. Above everything else, Imogene dearly loved her family.

She was born on March 12, 1920, in Mitchellsburg, Kentucky, to Brigham Doss and Mollie (Lamb) Doss. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry McKinstry; son, Michael McKinstry; and daughter, Roslyn McKinstry.

Imogene is survived by her granddaughter, Wynnde (William) Calloway; grandson, Jason McKinstry; and great-grandchildren, Emma, Ava, and Keira Calloway.

Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany). Her Funeral Service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home with burial to follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens in Louisville, Kentucky.
