Hugh Hamilton Jordan, Sr.
April 10, 1920 — April 4, 2014
Hugh Hamilton Jordan, Sr., age 93 of Louisville, joined his beloved wife Barbara in Heaven on Friday, April 4, 2014. He was a WWII Army Veteran who received numerous medals and awards, most recently the French Legion of Honor Award. He was a member of Middletown United Methodist Church. He loved golfing and loved being a husband and father. In addition to Barbara, he is preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Amanda Jordan; brothers, Dude and Gale "Dee" Jordan; and sisters, Margaret "Mugs" Mattingly and Mae Minnis.
Hugh is survived by his loving children, Hugh Jordan, Jr., Mark Jordan (Carole), Daniel Jordan (Violet), Jeff Jordan (Julie); grandchildren, Hugh Jordan III, Jason, Jennifer, Matthew, Rachel, Kristen, Kevin and Nick; sisters, Faye Snyder and Thelma "Sis" Brokaw (Hal); 10 great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
A celebration of Hugh's life will be 12:00 pm Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 235 Juneau Drive with visitation there from 10:00 am until time of service.
Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association or
Middletown United Methodist Church.
