Howard Floyd "Fuzzy" Offutt, Jr., 69, of New Albany, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022. Fuzzy was known for his love of travel, especially to Las Vegas and Florida. He was an avid Cardinals fan and enjoyed spending time with his family. After 34 years of dedicated service, Fuzzy retired from the New Albany Police Department in 2008.
He was born on January 24, 1953, in New Albany, Indiana, to the late Howard Offutt and his beloved mother, Wilma (McPheeters) Offutt, with whom he will be laid to rest.
Fuzzy is survived by his children, Kimberly (Michael) Wilson, Martin Tutt, Elisha Jennings, and Elijah Jennings; sister, Cozette Offutt; grandchildren, Samantha Wilson, Michael Wilson II, Zoë Offutt, and King Jameer Squire; nephews, Bruce Ford II, Pierrè Ford, and Desmond Ford; 8 grandnieces and grandnephews; and his dear friend, Shawn Smith.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Messiah Temple Church (1401 Mitchell Avenue, Jeffersonville, Indiana). His funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with burial at West Haven Cemetery.
Contributions in Fuzzy's memory may be made to Messiah Temple Church, and a contribution box will be available during visitation.
