Homer Turner Barnett, Jr.

Homer Turner Barnett, Jr., 81, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024. He retired from UPS and was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

He was born on September 27, 1943 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Homer, Sr. and Lydia (Hill) Barnett. Along with his father, Homer was preceded in death by his infant children, Daniel and Angela.

In addition to his mother, Homer is survived by his wife, Sue (Pike) Barnett; children, David Barnett (Ann), Cindy Martin (Troy); grandchildren, Austin, Alex, Tyler, Josie, Matthew; and siblings, Billy Barnett (Marcia), Mary Jo Coomes (Jim) and Larry Barnett (Paula).

Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions (3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany) and on Friday after 9:00 a.m. His funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church (1840 E. 8th Street, Jeffersonville) with burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Jeffersonville.
