Hessie Hayse

Hessie Hayse, Jr., 85, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2014. Hessie was a Navy veteran serving on the USS Wisconsin. He loved to work on cars, work in his garden; especially tending to his tomatoes, and never missed watching a UK basketball game. He was always available to help a neighbor in need.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Hezekiah and Dovie Hayse; and his loving wife, Lois Hayse.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Hayse; daughter, Beverley (Jeff) Amarello; grandchildren, Melissa Amarello and Autumn Hostetler; great-grandchildren, Angelo Amarello, Dulcinea Amarello, Temperance Hostetler and Jasper Hostetler; siblings, Albert Hayse, Addie Mae Powell, Ethel Cocke and Barbara Embry and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 6, 2014, from 3pm to 8pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - Southwest Louisville Chapel (10304 Dixie Highway). Funeral services will be Friday, March 7, 2014, at 11am at the chapel of Newcomer Funeral Home Southwest Louisville Chapel. Burial will be at Louisville Memorial Gardens West, 4400 Dixie Highway, Louisville, KY.
