Herman Bowen, age 86 passed away Saturday, September 20, 2014. He was born November 2, 1927 in New Albany, Indiana. He served in the US Air Force, and was a long-time employee at Kentuckiana Food Service. He was an avid sports fan and had a wide variety of interests. Herman was preceded in death by his parents, Clementine and Dolphus Bowen; sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Allis and Norma Jean; brothers, Chester and Albert.
Herman is survived by his twin brother, Herbert; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends and will be missed by them all.
A memorial service will be held at 4pm Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3309 Ballard Lane in New Albany, IN with visitation there from 2pm until time of service.
Memorials may be made to Hosparus, where he volunteered.
