Herbert Pugh Sr.
June 25, 1941 — August 11, 2022
Herbert Pugh Sr. was born June 25, 1941 in Tuskegee, AL. He moved to Louisville, KY at a very young age. He went to Jefferson County Public Schools and then went on to the Navy. He became an active member of Narcotics Anonymous on March 11, 2004 and continued to be a faithful member for eighteen years.
He received Christ under the leadership of his daughter, Pastor Monica Dunn Miller at Destiny Kingdom International Ministries. He was a jazz music collector, he loved to read, travel and cook. He was the jack of all trades. He was an Iron Construction worker, he worked at Ford Motor Company, retired as a Chef but most of all he loved helping people.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Lue Pugh, his second wife, Elenora Pugh, his two grandchildren, Billy Thomas and Daniesha Pugh.
He leaves behind six children, Pastor Monica Dunn Miller, Herbert Pugh Jr., Allison Pugh, Tracy Pugh, Patricia Pugh, Eric and wife Kimberly Pugh and two step children, Selina Goodner Newman and Cordell Montey Goodner. He also leaves behind 26 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 11:00am-1:00pm at Fifth Street Baptist Street (1901 W. Jefferson Street Louisville KY 40203). A service honoring his life will take place immediately following the visitation at 1:00pm.
